Kinga Karolczak, best known for
her appearance in 2005’s Big Brother was born in Poland and
moved to the UK at the age of 7. She grew up in London,
leaving school with A* GSCE’s in Drama and Music before
going on to study sound engineering in college. Drama and
music have always been a big part of Kinga’s life, and she
was in several school plays and even sang in the Royal
Albert Hall with several school choirs backing her up.
Music
is Kinga’s passion and she has a professionally trained
voice having had lessons from an early age, and before Big
Brother sang in several venues and was in her own girl band.
In 2005 Kinga decided that she wanted something more, and
decided to audition for Big Brother.
Kinga was put into Big Brother’s secret garden with 2 other
contestants, and 2 of the 3 were to be put into the house.
Kinga wasn’t chosen, although the producers saw what great
television Kinga could be and decided 2 weeks later to put
her in the house, replacing a housemate who had decided to
leave. She caused a massive stir in the house and her bubbly
personality led to her being in the final, eventually coming
4th.
Kinga has no regrets about the house and believe
everything happens for a reason. Since coming out of the
house Kinga has not been out of the media’s spotlight. She
appeared in her own documentary for BB3 following her around
for several weeks, appeared on the Trisha show and has
appeared in numerous publications such as OK!, Heat, Bliss,
The Mirror, Now, News Of The World and many more.
She has
also raised £15,000 for the Make A Wish foundation by posing
for a picture which was auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Kinga is now concentrating on expanding her media career and
becoming even more of a household name than she is already.
Kinga is keen to try and continue singing and has been
working in the studio on several tracks.
With appearances on
several primetime shows like The Friday Night Project and
Whatever, and being a regular in the media still, whatever
happens in 2006 for Kinga, she is definitely going to be one
name that is just going to grow and grow.
